Where do I start?

If you are a visitor to Highlawn Baptist we encourage you to park in the large lot behind the main sanctuary. Guest parking is reserved there. Enter the building under the sign that says "Welcome Center" where greeters will be pleased to answer your questions about Sunday School (Bible Study) groups, nursery, and worship services. Bible study begins at 9:45am. If you are visiting for a worship service, someone will be in the foyer to greet you and answer any questions.

What should I expect in the worship services?

Our morning service (11AM) is led by a band, praise team and choir and the music consists of every genre. It is held in the worship center. The 6:00PM service is led by the praise team and praise band and the music styles of every genre. The senior pastor preaches at both services

How do I find people my own age?

The best place to get to know people your own age is through a Sunday School class. It is a time of fellowship and connecting to new friends as well as studying of God’s Word. Click here to view more information about the wide variety of classes offered for all ages.

What about my young children?

On Sundays and Wednesdays we offer child care for children birth through four years. We have a paging system so that parents can feel comfortable knowing that they can be reached any time their child has a need.

I have older children as well, what about them?

There are graded classes for all ages on Sunday morning and evening. On Wednesday we have a large children’s program with choirs and mission groups for every age group. Your children will usually find someone they already know in any group they attend.

And my teenagers?

Our active student ministry includes Sunday School groups for middle school, 9-10th grades and 11-12th grades. Additionally, teenagers have a time of worship on Wednesday and are actively together throughout the year in a variety of ministries.

What if I wish to visit the Wednesday evening activities?

There is a wide variety of participation opportunities, including Bible study, discipleship, choirs, student worship, and mission study groups. Click here for the complete Wednesday schedule.
